To use iSkoot, you need our software and a mobile calling plan with data
access that allows you to connect to the Internet. If you
want to call regular phones or receive inbound Skype calls,
you must have SkypeOut credit. In addition, Caller
ID should be enabled on your handset if you have
enabled Caller ID via your phone settings and you still
can't make calls, then make sure your service provider
has enabled it. Skype Voicemail must be disabled, if
you use it.
If you do not have a data plan, please contact your mobile
service provider before installing iSkoot.
| If
you have a data plan, but are experiencing a
connection problem: |
| |
You
may not have an Internet connection set up
yet. |
| |
You may
be using a WAP connection instead of GPRS to access
the Internet. |
| |
You may
have chosen the wrong GPRS Access Point Name (APN)
to connect to the Internet. |
| |
You may
need to change your Java settings to use the correct
APN to connect to the Internet. |
| |
Your
mobile phone network must allow secure SSL traffic.
You'll need to contact your mobile network provider
to verify this. |
